In plain words
- All design, firmware and testing is done by us. We never quietly pass your work to someone else.
- Work starts after you accept a written quote and pay the advance. The quote says what is included.
- Time depends on how complex the project is. Hardware also waits on things outside anyone's control: parts, fabrication, shipping and test results. We tell you early if a date moves.
- Once you have paid in full, you own the designs, files and firmware we made for you.
- Prototypes are for testing, not for sale. Certification (BIS, CE, FCC) is separate unless it is in the quote.
- Research notes on this site are work in progress. Targets are goals, not results.
01Who we are
VAIBHION is a proprietorship business based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, registered as an MSME (Udyam). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean VAIBHION, and "you" means the person or company that asks us for a quote, sends us a brief or uses our services.
These terms apply to every quote, project and repair we take on. If we both sign a separate written agreement for a project, that agreement takes priority wherever the two differ.
02Our services
We offer PCB design, firmware and embedded development, 3D product renders and showcases, R&D and prototyping, and electronics repair, debug and design review. Products in our showroom are sold by quote.
All design, firmware and testing is done by us. If a job needs an outside service, such as PCB fabrication, assembly, a certification lab or a courier, we tell you which one and why before we use it.
03Quotes and starting work
Every project starts with a written quote. It lists the scope, deliverables, milestones, an estimated timeline and the price. A quote is valid for 15 days unless it says otherwise.
Sending a brief or talking to us does not commit either of us to anything. Work starts only once you accept the quote in writing (email is enough) and we receive the advance payment.
Anything not listed in the quote is outside the scope. We are happy to add it, but it is quoted separately.
04Fees and payment
Unless the quote says otherwise, we take 50% in advance and the rest when the work is ready for handover. Larger projects are split into milestones, and each milestone is invoiced when it is reached.
Third-party costs, such as PCB fabrication, components, assembly, shipping, customs and lab fees, are billed at actual cost. We get your approval before spending them, and you can pay the supplier directly if you prefer.
Prices are in Indian Rupees and taxes are added as applicable. For clients outside India, the quote states the currency and payment method.
Source files and final deliverables are released when payment is complete. Until then, you get previews, reports and test results.
05How timelines work
Every timeline we give is an honest estimate based on the scope we know. How long a project takes depends mainly on its complexity: a simple sensor board and a multi-layer board with LTE, GNSS and power management are very different jobs.
Hardware has steps that cannot be rushed. A board is designed, reviewed, sent for fabrication, assembled, brought up and tested. If testing finds a problem, the board goes through another revision, and each revision is a new physical build.
Some waits are outside anyone's control, including ours: component lead times and shortages, fab and assembly queues, courier and customs delays, and booking slots at labs.
A timeline also depends on you: requirements, answers to our questions, approvals at milestones and access to any existing designs or samples. When we are waiting on you, the timeline moves by the same amount.
If a change makes the project bigger, we tell you how it affects time and cost before we go ahead.
If a date is going to move, we tell you as soon as we know, with the reason and a new plan. You never find out at the deadline.
06Your part
Please give us clear and correct requirements, answer questions in good time, and tell us early if anything changes.
You confirm that you have the right to share any designs, code, documents or samples you send us, and that the product is intended for lawful use.
07Prototypes, testing and certification
Prototypes are built to prove a design and to test it. They are not certified products and are not meant to be sold or used in safety-critical situations.
Regulatory certification, such as BIS, CE, FCC or WPC, is not included unless the quote says so. We can design with certification in mind and help you prepare for it.
Projects with mains power, high voltage, batteries or radio transmitters have to be used and installed safely. Making sure the final product is safe and legal where it is used remains your responsibility.
08Who owns what
Once you have paid in full, you own the deliverables we created specifically for your project: schematics, PCB layouts, fabrication files, firmware written for the project, documents and renders.
We keep ownership of what we had before your project or build for general use: our tools, part libraries, templates, know-how and general code modules. Where these are part of your deliverables, you get a permanent licence to use them with your product.
Open-source parts stay under their own licences, and we tell you which ones are used.
We may show the work in our portfolio. We never show your name or any confidential detail. Your company name appears only if you agree, and you can ask us in writing not to show the work at all.
Portfolio pages show the problem, the result and renders of the board. They never show part numbers, component values, firmware or design files, so nobody can copy your product from them.
09Confidentiality
We keep your ideas, designs and business details confidential. We use them only to do your project. We may use AI tools to help with the work, as our Privacy policy explains; tell us if you want your files kept out of them. If you need a signed NDA before you share details, we are happy to sign one.
10Warranty and support
For 30 days after handover, we fix at no cost any design or firmware fault that is our mistake and is within the agreed scope.
This does not cover misuse, physical damage, changes made by others, faults in third-party parts or in fabrication or assembly done by others, or requirements that change after delivery.
Ongoing support, updates and new features are available under a separate agreement.
11Repairs
Diagnosis may carry a small fee, which we tell you about before we start. You approve the repair cost before we carry out the repair.
We are not responsible for damage that was already there, for data stored on a device, or for faults in parts we did not work on. If a repair is not worth the cost, we tell you and return the device.
Please collect repaired items within 60 days of our notice.
12Cancelling a project
You can cancel at any time by telling us in writing. You pay for the work done up to that point and for third-party costs already committed. We refund any unused part of the advance within 15 working days.
We may stop a project if payments are overdue by more than 30 days, or if the project turns out to be unlawful or unsafe. In that case we refund any unused amount.
13Limits of our liability
Our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost data or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
14Products from our showroom
Showroom products are sold by quote. Price, availability, delivery time and return terms are stated in the quote. Specifications may improve over time, and we tell you before you order if anything has changed.
15Using this website
The text, designs, 3D models, renders, animations and images on this website belong to VAIBHION, except third-party software and fonts, which we use under their own licences: three.js (MIT licence, © three.js authors), the Draco decoder (Apache License 2.0, © Google) and the fonts Space Grotesk, JetBrains Mono and Michroma (SIL Open Font License 1.1). You may not copy or reuse our own material without our permission. The website is provided as it is, and we work to keep it accurate and available.
Renders and live 3D views are made from real layouts or from our own concepts. Board colours may be our showcase finish, and a concept is not a finished product.
To protect the work shown here, most pages cannot be printed, pictures and 3D views blur while the window is in the background or a screenshot shortcut is pressed, and on those pages the Print Screen key may replace your clipboard with a short VAIBHION notice. These Terms and the Privacy policy can always be printed, copied and saved. The site never reads your clipboard.
16Research notes
Our research notes describe work in progress. They share what we learn, not our designs: the schematics, layouts, firmware and data behind them stay with VAIBHION and are not released as open source. Numbers marked as targets are goals we are working towards, not measured results and not a promise. Measured results are labelled as such when we publish them.
Illustrations and animations speed up time and simplify the physics to explain an idea. They are not test data.
The notes are for information only. They are not engineering advice for your product: any design built on them should be tested for its own conditions, especially for mains power, batteries, energy storage, radio or use in harsh environments.
17Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If there is a disagreement, we will first try to settle it by talking. If that does not work, the courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to approach a consumer commission where you live.
18Changes and contact
We may update these terms, and the date below shows the latest version. The terms in force when a quote was accepted apply to that project.
